Tawana was raised in Maryland, were she lives with her husband. Together they have four children, and one stepdaughter.

Tawana attended George Washington University were she received a certification in Emergency Medical Technology. She also attended Trinity Bible Institute, and received a degree in Biblical Studies.

Currently, Tawana is member of the National Association of Realtors, and a board member of WIN ONE Ministries, and Christian Women of Faith Ministries. Both groups force on aiding inner city women. Tawana is a past member of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians Tawana also a member of Angelic Motions of Praise, a dance group that has performed in many churched and organization throughout Washington D.C. as well as other surrounding states.

In her spare time, Tawana enjoys reading and writing.
